Julianne

Julianne is turning 13! We have enjoyed photographing her family for the last year. We were excited when her mom, Julie, asked us to take pictures for her birthday. Julianne is such a sweet girl and a wonderful sister. She has a big family (you will be seeing more about them all soon!) We had such a wonderful time capturing her. It's fun to see her personality which is a combination of both of her fun parents. She did great infront of the camera!

Happy Birthday Julianne! Enjoy your slideshow!

:e: in town

Our buddy Eric Laurits was in town for a workshop put on by our friend's at LaCour.

Eric is a great guy and a wonderful photographer. He lives in New York and we met at Garrett and Joy's workshop in June.

Today he had some down time before heading to the airport. We picked him up and the three of us had an amazing time. He was kind enough to travel around Atlanta with us as we had a lot of stops to make. We then were able to come back to our place for him to see the studio. It's always fun to share our space with others. We enjoyed a wonderful meal for dinner and then headed to the airport.

Here is a picture of the three of us as we took him to the airport. Safe travels Eric!

We love exits.

Every wedding has an exit. The moment when the bride and groom run off into their future. It's such a moment of celebration from friends and family. Everyone is full of joy and pride. We like to have two perspectives of this grand moment. One with the bride and groom running towards the camera and one with the camera following behind the bride and groom. The lighting is so beautiful when you follow.

Here is Erica and Kevin's exit.

We love this picture for so many reasons. The bright white of their future, family surrounding, but there is more. The four little girls to their right. They are spaced perfectly; on their own accord. Then we have the grandmothers inside the door that are smiling and watching on with pride.

What a spectacular moment.

Erica and Kevin - July 15th

Erica and Kevin were married in Rome, Georgia and the Berry College Frost Chapel. We love this chapel because of the natural stone floors and walls; the large wood beam rafters; and the slate shingled roof. We love capturing weddings here as it holds a tender place in our heart; because this is also where Chris and I were married. Their wedding was full of fun, yet important details. It was an Apostolic Ceremony which has many timeless tradtions, which we thought were beautiful.

Erica has wonderful taste and style in how she designed her most important day. It all shows the overlapping themes of design. It was also so fun to see her and Kevin interact. The way they show thier sweet affection; they were simply adorable and I kept commenting about it to Chris. The reception was at the Coosa Valley Country Club. and was equally as sweet and wonderful.

Ty Miller was also with us, and as usual provided
amazing images. We just love having him, and his talent, with us!

The gorgeous dress.

What a beautiful bride! We just had to take her to the forested grounds of Berry College.

We love the pointed archways that are a common element on the building of Frost Chapel. It naturally frames the bride beautifully!

I absolutely love this moment of Erica and Kevin together. They are just so cute!

The very stylish tie and a sample of the floral art pieces.

Instead of flowers, the girls carried these beautiful fans.

Here is a detail of the bridesmaid's sash on the dress.

The guests arriving.

A tender moment of prayer in the ceremony.

A precious moment after the ceremony with one of their Grandmother's. I love this moment of celebration.

The fun wedding party!

Here, they had a trolley that took them to their reception.

Erica & Kevin-
We had such an amazing time celebrating with you. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to document your day. We hope you are having a wonderful time in Belize!

Richard and Jill - July 14th

Richard and Jill were married last Saturday, July 14, at the Second Ponce De Leon Baptist Church. They were both as relaxed as I've seen a couple on their wedding day. They seemed to really be able to enjoy every moment. Their personalities were really able to shine through. We had a good time with every moment and every detail that was spread throughout their day.

From the wedding we rode a trolley, with the wedding party, to the Biltmore Ballrooms. Affairs to Remeber catered the reception and did a spectacular job. Also, Awesome Blossom did the magnificent floral art pieces and bridal bouquets. The band brought bright, lively music and the guest just covered the dance floor! What a wonderful job they all did on bringing Richard and Jill's big day together.

One of our professional photographer friends Ty Miller was along with us. We were glad that he was able to come down from Dalton, Georgia to help us document this beautiful day. It was great to have him and he did a wonderful job!

Richard & Jill - Enjoy your beautiful slideshow!

The details were everywhere and we loved capturing them.

The sweet first dance.

There was a lot of fun on the dance floor. I love this shot that Ty took of the family enjoying the music.

I love sweet moments between family members. Here is Richard's Dad and Grandmother. His Dad was so honoring to his mother and stood by her side the entire evening.

There must have been a secret floating through the air. We loved all the little moments of secrets we captured.

This one of Chris' is one of my favorite he has ever done. I just love it!

Lia and Victor

Lia and Victor are an amazing couple who contacted us recently. They met and were married here in Atlanta. We were not their photographers at their wedding, but we were able to help them capture some special portraits afterwards. We find that many brides are wanting more devoted time for artistic portraits after their wedding. We loved everything they told us about their wedding. It was held at the First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta with a beautiful reception at the Georgia Aquarium. Foxgloves and Ivy created all of floral art pieces. They were also kind enough to recreate Victor's beautiful boutonnière for our special portrait session.

Ben Vigil came along with us as well. We always love shooting with Ben. As usual, he provided gorgeous images. Thanks Ben!

We started out back where the wedding took place. We explored all of the beautiful aspects of this church. Then we enjoyed their flower gardens. After that we headed to the The Georgian Terrace. Chris, Ben and I all thought it would be the perfect change of scenery. As it turns out, it was also where Lia and Victor spent their wedding night. It could not have ended more perfectly.

What an amazing church.

Chris captured this beautiful image. With the church doors opened overlooking Peachtree Street.

This is one of Ben's shots. I love it. It really shows of Lia's beautiful gown and veil. Her veil was amazing and one of the first aspects that was decided upon for the wedding.

I loved the Church's gardens. These following images are some of my favorite. The ivy wall was just beautiful.

Then for some sweet moments at the Georgian Terrace.

Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday Baby

Today is Chris' birthday! Yea!

Sunday night I planned a surprise birthday party for Chris. It was so much fun. We first met at No Mas! our favorite mexican restaurant that is only a few blocks from our home. We had a small intimate group of our family and some of our closest friends. There to join in on the celebration was My parents (Kyle and Betty Bergen), Chris' Dad (Hector Torres), my sister Elizabeth and Jason Flowers, Jason's parents Ron and Yvonne Flowers, my brother Charlie Bergen and his fiance Maggie Shank, Matt and Melissa Yung, Ben and Maria Vigil, Garrett, Joy and Graycen Nudd, and Andrew and Rachel Niesen.

After dinner, we made our way a few blocks away to our studio. There we were all able to talk and enjoy our new place. Everyone met our new scooter too, who arrived that very day. Then we headed up to the rooftop for a private party. We had a couple of cakes and a good time of socializing. It was perfect.

Thank you to EVERYONE who went out of their way to make this a special day for Chris. Thank you to Matt and Ben for documenting our evening!

As our tradition, we do birthday portraits. So Chris' pictures will be up soon.

I love you babe!

Justin and Carla

Justin and Carla have been wonderful to work with since day one. They are so sweet and tender to each other. Their wedding was a fun time of celebration.

Enjoy your slideshow.

There are many of Carla, she was such a beautiful bride, I had too many to decide between.

Getting ready moments are so fun.

Carla writing a note to Justin before the wedding.

The beautiful Bride.

Justin is such a caring guy. It was fun to see his love for Carla.

Justin and his father (the best man) making sure they are perfect.

Carla and her father in such a meaningful moment.

One of my favorite images from the day. I love how they are looking at each other sweetly before the big kiss.

Nudd's Family Portraits

When another photographer asks you to do portraits of them, you have a mixture of feelings. Excitement, honor, and panic. It's normally hard to photograph photographers. This week, Garrett and Joy asked us to take their family portraits. It was not hard at all. We are all so comfortable with each other that it was a blast. They are such an adorable family and we love all of our time with them.

Enjoy your Slideshow!

Garrett found a fun field to take pictures in. With a lots of earth tones it gave a very earthy feel.

Fun on the Fourth

This year we spent the fourth with some of our great friends in Chattanooga. Garrett, Joy and Graycen Nudd along with Chris and I had a great time. They had recently closed on a house and so we went up to help unpack. Well, we never really got around to unpacking, but had a chance just to unwind. I know they also just wanted a break from all the stress from the move. So we spent the evening at an outdoor symphony and then watched fireworks in Collegedale. A little side note, Collegedale is the home to the famouse Little Debbie snack cakes....ok, I know random, but a well noted, interesting fact.

Then the next day we had breakfast with Nathan, Amber, Austin and Addison Holritz and David Jay at good 'ol Cracker Barrel. It was really good to see everybody.

Thanks guys for a great time!

Graycen was getting a head start on becoming addicted to my phone.

Garrett and Graycen together having fun.

Yet another Nudd/Torres portrait!

The Veteran Memorial getting ready for the fireworks.

Fun fireworks!

Breakfast on the fourth. Seems like we put all the tall people on the left and short ones on the right. :)

Carla and Bill

We adore weddings. We love every aspect and the varieties that they come in. This past weekend we were able to document the wedding of Carla and Bill. Carla found her love later in life. This only made it that much sweeter. To see them finally together on such a monumental day was very emotional. I had tears in my own eyes during the ceremony. When we returned home after their wedding, we felt full and content. What a joy it was to be a part of their day.

Here is the slideshow.

This was when Carla and Bill had their first moment together. I loved both Chris and my perspective.

The three flower girls were just about as precious as could be.

These moments happened constantly. They are so in love.

These sweet moments before the wedding are always so priceless.
