Hope

Hope is just one of those sweet little girls that is already easy to have a conversation with. We met them last week to do a portrait session. We had such a wonderful time with them. Hope loves to just play and loves to smile at the camera too. Thanks for a great morning Hope!

Ben and Anna Bergen

This weekend we had the amazing honor of standing by my brother as he wed the love of his life. They were married at the First United Methodist Church in Weaverville and their reception was at Claxton Farms in Asheville, NC.

Ben and Anna are so dear and sweet. They have gracious and tender hearts. We love to be on the other side of weddings. To experience such joy and emotion. It teaches us even more what our clients will desire to be captured. Our hearts could barely contain the incredible amounts of pride and joy we felt. Our family continues to amaze us. The bonds we hold that continue to bind us are unbreakable. Thank you Ben and Anna for the incredible experience of you both being in our lives. We love you! ~ Chris and Katie

We were both in the wedding, so there are no pictures of it from our end. Here are the moments we did capture and cherish.

Anna's classy dress.

I loved her shoes!

This middle window is a Tiffany. It has become a landmark and it is quite beautiful!

Anna's colors were pink and green. They were perfect with the setting.

We have quite a large family on my mother's side. There are 13 grandchildren and seven of the great grandchildren were there. Here are the youngest five children. They are all so precious as they played together.

Doster and John played horse shoes. It was fun to see such little guys playing with such big horse shoes!

Katherine and Caroline loved to help little Doster. He loved all the attention he received.

The flowers were perfect with the setting. Anna did such a great job in selecting the perfect setting and details.

I took Ben and Anna in the barn quick before they left. I love how this picture turned out. It will always be a treasure of mine.

Here is a picture of our entire family.

It was quite an emotional farewell. Ben and Anna are so dear and tender. The tears rolled down their faces as they repeatedly thanked both sets of parents for all they had done for both of them.

6 of Four Creations and the Wall Street Journal

In April, we were at the Pure Fashion show in Atlanta with our good friend Ben Vigil. This is an amazing fashion show that teaches young girls about being modest yet fashionable in a world that does not. These girls range from grades 8th through 12th and they learn about self confidence and purity. We loved our time there. Last week we received a phone call from Ben saying that the Wall Street Journal selected one of Chris' pictures for a story they were doing. The story is about a book called Girls Gone Mild. They reference the fashion show and used the image to support their story. Enjoy the story by clicking here. The image that was published is below.

Asia the model

Asia is accustomed to being our model when we receive a new camera or lens. She is actually very obedient during this time. She even takes direction. I can only imagine how our children will be in front of a camera one day. So yesterday when a new lens came in, she was ready for her modeling session. I thought you might enjoy this lovely pose that she came up with.

For those of you who might be curious, Asia is a Black and Tan Coonhound.

Carla and Justin

Carla and Justin's wedding will be on July 7th. The wedding is in my home town of Dallas, Georgia. It was fun to spend time with them downtown Dallas enjoying all the fun backdrops that the city provided. They are so cute together and we had a wonderful time spending a hot Georgia afternoon with them.

Click here to enjoy your slideshow!

What a gorgeous bride Carla will be!

We loved the way Justin looks at Carla.

The beautiful ring.

I love this shot that Chris set up. So fun with the yellow theme!

The renovated Dallas Theater.

How cute are they together?!?! We loved this fun little spot.

They were so cute and playful. We loved these little capture of them.

Happy Father's Day

Katie and I wanted to tell our fathers and all of the father's out there Happy Father's Day. In such a face paced world out there, it's harder than ever to be a good dad. We think you are all doing a great job. You inspire us daily. We thank our fathers for their endless support and love. It means the world to us. What great role models you have been to us.

And her for some nostalgic purposes, pictures of us with our fathers.

Katie is the one to the left of her dad with short hair. This picture is of her and her brothers and sister "helping" their dad. Which they have many memories of.

This is a picture of me and my dad. I seem to be laughing so hard from my dad "eating" my hand.

What a treasure it is to have these memories.

We love you! Chris and Katie

Elevate 2 in Orlando

We have just returned home from our workshop seminar in Orlando, FL. It was Elevate 2 by Joy and Garrett Nudd. We had such a wonderful time. We loved seeing our friends in the industry, and making new ones as well. The network of photographers in this current time is outstanding. We also had the wonderful opportunity of modeling for the group! Yes, we were able to dress up in our wedding clothes again. It was so fun and a very surreal feeling to be wearing my dress again. We only have a few of the pictures from that so far, but as more come in we will be sharing them with you.

Thank you Joy and Garrett for such an amazing week!!

Kevin and Sticky of Brandy and Sticky talking. For some ODD reason we have no pictures of Brandy, Sticky, Katie and I. It's so odd, we were with them the whole time!

Gene Higa came in from San Fransisco. He talked on Destination Weddings. He was awesome and so fun to be around. Thanks Gene!

Katie took this picture of me.

Here are some of the pictures of the models.

Here is Rachel Niesen, Ty Miller and Regina taking pictures of the models.

Tomas Flint snagging a picture of while we took one of him.

Andrew Niesen (married to Rachel from above) came to show us their new software called ShootQ. Katie and I are both really looking forward to using it.

Garrett talking doing a Q and A time.

Our buddy Zack Arias who lives a few miles away from us here in Atlanta. He seems to think that the number "1" is the answer to everything. :)

Some of the pictures of us. This one was taken by Dan.

This one was from Ty Miller from Dalton. Everyone raved about it. We are sold on it as well. :)

And last a few with our buddies.

Regina was there. We were so happy she was able to make it. She's so great!

Here I am with Regis...Katie wanted to take him home with us. He was cracking us up the whole time.

Last but not least, :) The Nudds!!
Really. you guys, we love you so much and thanks for an amazing time.

And here is a video to wrap-up our time in Orlando:

Jeremy and Samantha

Jeremy and Samantha moved to town a few months ago. They came from Louisiana. Their wedding will be back home next month, but they wanted to have some engagement pictures done before. We had such a great time with them around our loft. Here are a few pictures from our session. We'll be getting a slideshow together soon.

Now we are off to Orlando for a workshop called Elevate...Much more on that very soon!!
