Our wonderful Christmas

This was our first Christmas together being married. It was fun and new for us. We spent Christmas Eve with Chris' Dad and Sister. We had a great time with them. We enjoyed a wonderful meal, played Scrabble, and opened presents. We did however, forget the camera!

The next morning we had Christmas together with our dog Asia. Then we went over to my parents home. All four siblings with our husbands/wives, fiances, or girlfriends were there. Plus two precious grandkids!

You will see all the pictures below.

Our tree with presents below. :)

Our beautiful STAR.

Asia, admiring the tree.

Fast forward an hour to my parents house. My mom makes the best stockings! They are so thoughtful and wonderful. Here is a Baby Brownie Special. How adorable is this camera?

My brother Ben and his fiancé Anna opening their stocking.

Our niece Caroline with her next present.

Doster LOVES cherries. Here is "Uncle" Ben spoiling him. This happened many times that day.

Here is our snuggly nephew Doster in Grandpa and Grandma's high chair.

My mom (Grandma) and Caroline reading about her new present.

My sister Elizabeth trying to keep her active son in arms for a moment.

My brother Charlie, Caroline, Maggie (Charlie's Girlfriend) and Anna

Dad and Chris laughing about something.

Me trying to get in some snuggle time! ;D

Jason (Elizabeth's husband) getting his next present while Caroline calms down in a chair behind him. Christmas was very exciting for the kids! :)

Here are the piano keys that my grandmother played every time she came to our house. She has passed away, but that memory lingers. The sweet sound would fill the house. This was also the piano where we all took lessons...not very long for me. You can see little pieces of tape with the keys written out.

My mother loves to decorate and create a beautiful table. This year was no exception.

Here is a special tradition my parents started. They have a candle stick for every member of the family. Each candlestick is
unique as each of us are unique. The crystal candle stick shows how treasured we each are and the candle shows how we
each add light to our family and to the world. When they are all lit together, the light generated by the total collection is
significant. Dad read Matthew 5:13-16 (NIV) and challenged us to not hide our light but to let it shine as a glory to our
Heavenly Father. Each year, a new candle stick is added if our family has grown by marriage or birth. What an amazing tradition that brings tears every year!

We all enjoyed a wonderful meal together. Here is Chris, Maggie, Charlie, Ben and Anna

On this end we have Jason, Elizabeth, Dad, Mom, and Me

Thank you to Chris' Dad, Sister, My Dad, Mom, Brothers and Sister for making this year so special. We loved spending time with all of you!

Love,
Chris and Katie

Merry Christmas TO ALL!

We want to wish our clients, colleagues, friends and family a very Merry Christmas!

Just like in this picture...our year has been such a rush of big events and growth. It feels like we've been in a whirlwind! Through it all we've been constant with each other and our heavenly Father. This has been what has seen us through each day of a new marriage and a rapidly growing business.

We hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday.

Love,
Chris and Katie

Katie's B-day weekend portrait session!

Around the Torres' household we celebrate birthday weekends! This weekend was Katie's! I, Chris, gave her fun gifts and she enjoyed a weekend of not lifting a finger. On one of our adventures out, we passed a spot in little downtown Dallas, Georgia that we thought would be a great place to take some birthday shots of her. Here are the shots of my HOT MAMA.........ENJOY!

We loved this place for shoots until........they got the deer! Katie LOVES IT!

My Dad the Teacher-BluDomain

BluDomain was having a contest for their new interface 29 that just came out. One of the contests included taking a picture of a teacher. At the age of 50 my father became a history teacher. It was a life long dream. He graduated and started teaching 6th grade Social Studies in a rough part of town. He is now also pursuing his Masters. We are so proud of him and the lengths he has gone to improve education in his little corner of the world. I hope his students realize what they have in him.

Oh, by the way...I won the contest! Out of 820 submissions, mine made it. I think it's because I had such an amazing subject though!

Here are a few of the pictures that I submitted.

Every morning at 6 am, he goes to school and raises the flag. He has so much respect for our history. We reenacted this...6 am was a little too early for me! :D

Today I went to the Stoever Cabin. This family is very special to me and my family. They have waited for littlie Cody for a long time, and he is finally here. What a precious little boy that has a strong resemblance to his Grandfather. :) I could not narrow down which pictures to post. There are so many good ones. Enjoy this amazing family. I love you guys!
